The Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) by case research is a professional doctorate for managers and senior professionals offered by the Gibaran Graduate School of Business (GGSB). The focus of the DBA by case research, action research or reflective practice, is on making a contribution to management practice and/or policy, unlike the PhD research which focuses on a significant contribution to theoretical knowledge.

This is a work-based professional doctorate programme that uses practical case research methods to produce a thesis about management practices. It captures the features of a PhD which are precision of thought and expression and an awareness of what others have previously written about a topic.

The GGSB DBA programme has three modules of ‘activities’ in which candidates are carefully guided through the steps of producing a doctoral thesis. Candidates can exit the programme with a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma after the first and second modules if they wish.

The DBA can be undertaken in Adelaide or overseas in Singapore or London: visit the Global Locations Listing.
