Research Master of Management

The Research Master of Management programme has been designed to enable the candidates to:

  • develop an appreciation of work-based management issues;
  • extend a critical understanding of practice within a strategic or functional area;
  • develop a capacity to apply interdisciplinary approaches to questions and research in work-based management issues;
  • use the action research, case research or reflective practice method to address and resolve a specific strategic or functional workplace, industry issue; and
  • develop the conceptual and analytical thinking, research and writing skills necessary to successfully complete a research dissertation.

Professional Master of Management

The objectives of the Professional Master of Management are:

  • to provide appropriate evidence of advanced knowledge about a specialist body of theoretical and applied topics;
  • to demonstrate a high order of skill in analysis, critical evaluation and/or professional application through the planning and execution of project work or a piece of scholarship or research; and
  • to develop the conceptual and analytical thinking, research and writing skills necessary to successfully complete a case study when a candidate selects the professional masters pathway.
