Research Qualification Programmes
^ UpGLG offers the research qualifications of Master of Management (MMgt), the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
These qualifications employ the Gibaran Learning Model and a system of Research Centres to ensure that the appropriate infrastructure is provided to support the research endeavours of students and facilitators. The Adelaide campus and RCs in Singapore and London provide the physical and online environment required for research work and these facilities are supported by a network of Research Fellows and the academic and administration personnel of the Research Centres.
DBA candidates are well served by a team of Supervisors, with Supervisors who are based in their own country and the GLG appointed Principal Supervisor who monitors a small number of Supervisors. There are only a small number of PhD candidates and these are directly supervised by GLG appointed Principal Supervisors.
Action Research and Action Learning are integral parts of the Gibaran Learning Model and final projects and research papers of students often revolve around the application of management theory to the workplace. Close relationships between GLG and industry have been developed as a result of this learning model. Gibaran research is therefore often linked to business and commerce with some candidates being industry funded or sponsored by GLG. GLG however derives no direct income from industry funded research.
